OUR PHILOSOPHY OF
INTENTIONAL MOVEMENT
We spend much of our lives moving from one thing to the next.
At Soul Space, we believe movement becomes most powerful when it is intentional.
Whether through dance, yoga, creativity or reflection, intentional movement helps us pause, listen, reconnect and return to ourselves.

After a successful career in musical theatre, movement has always been a huge part of my life. But returning home to Morecambe Bay marked the beginning of a very different chapter.
I found myself coming back to movement in a new way, not just as performance, but as a way to reconnect with myself. Dance, expression and intentional movement helped me rediscover parts of myself I had almost forgotten.
Soul Space was born from that journey.
I wanted to create a women-only space where others could experience that same sense of return. A place to move, breathe, express, soften, grow and feel at home in themselves again.
Whether you're looking for movement, connection, creativity or simply a little space to breathe, you'll always be warmly welcomed here.
Lisa

Penny Collinson
Hello, I'm Penny, I have worked in dance, movement and somatic practice for over 35 years, initially as a contemporary dance performer, teacher, and lecturer. Locally, I run workshops and contemporary/ improvisational dance classes for adults. They are all about finding flow, freedom and delight in moving! Throughout the year I offer a series of short courses and retreats in dance, and somatic practices. Additionally, I work in private therapeutic practice with clients. My approach to therapy involves talking but centres around what is felt, helping people find a sense of safety in their body as they learn how to regulate physical sensations and emotions more effectively and creatively.
